San Francisco Marathon

The day is here and we're ready!
We got up at 4:30am, had a banana, a energy bar and some water. Trying to make sure we don't need to use the restroom in the middle of the race :-)

Weeks of practice and it'll come down to today: my first Half Marathon race. I'm psyched!

Here's a map and landscape of the path we'll take through the city and across the bridge.

I'll see you all on the other side!

San Francisco - Enjoying everything it's gotta give - through running

It's been a little over 5 months since I've moved back to San Francisco. It's been great coming back to the city that I love so much. It's an beautiful amazing city full of great energy. The energy of the city has inspired Ben and I to take up running.

It all started with the 10k Bay to Breakers run. Notoriously for its partying and drunken, crazy crowd, we decided to actually make a run of it and managed to survive the 10k run in around an hour and 26 minutes. We were exhausted from it but loved the feeling of running in the city.

Then from my friend Howie's suggestion that he was running the SF Marathon and some encouragement from my friend Matt, we decided to join Howie to run the 1st half of the SF Marathon. We started training in end of May and have been working up to the 13.1 mi run. And now... it's almost here! The race takes place this Sunday at 5:30am. Here's a great video of what we'll be running through. We'll be doing the first half of the SF Marathon:

I can't wait to actually go through it and get that medal at the end! :-)
